Incoming email is routed through our Spam Firewall. Spam is tagged, quarantined or blocked based on preferences. Legitimate email is allowed through to the recipient. Our Spam firewall uses the most accurate filtering technology available including Bayesian analysis.
Quarantined email is sent to a mailbox located on our Spam firewall. The user that the email was sent to will receive an email alerting them that they have questionable email that has been quarantined. They can tag the messages from within the alert email and choose to allow the email to be delivered or flag the email as Spam and delete it. Email containing viruses are automatically deleted. The user will receive an automated alert email informing them that an email was sent to them that contained a virus.
Yes! Each user is able to log into their Quarantine inbox and manage their preferences via the Web. This allows them to whitelist (allow all mail to be received) or blacklist (block all email) by a senders email address or domain. One users preferences do not effect any other user.
